Doja Cat presents the Purrr! EP – a streamlined exhibition of the realness she’s been serving up on SoundCloud and across Los Angeles venues for quite some time. Early fans will be proud of her progress and newbies are bound to be obsessed.
It begins with “Beautiful,” produced by Iman Omari. Starting a project off with a declaration of how beautiful one is may trigger an eye roll or two, but Doja’s usual balance of brazen raps and airy vocals make the listening experience less of a boast-fest and more of an art experience.
The EP also includes an updated version of “Nunchucks,” a new track called “Control,” and the unanimous favorite “So High.”
