On August 9th, clothing boutique, Proverse located in the east village in the city of Long Beach, hosted a very dope photography exhibit titled SVNTOS by Jose Gongora. Jose Gongora is a Los Angeles based photographer/videographer who has been in the scenes for quite a while capturing moments in the music community through his camera lenses.
Creatives from all over the LA area attended the SVNTOS Photography Exhibit and flooded the sidewalks of the art district. As soon as you stepped in the gallery you found yourself vibing out to the sounds of NiceguyxVinny while taking in the works of Jose Gongora. After the first three hours of the SVNTOS exhibit, the photography showcase turned into a full blown music showcase that featured some of the most promising artists coming out of Long Beach, California. Such as Melziah Dia, uhlife, and DRTYWTRZ, who all set the vibe of the night. Budamunk ( of Jazzy Sport) and TDE’s in house producer Willie B (of Digi+Ponics) were also present and rocked a dope beat set. They had all the emcee’s vibin in multiple rap cyphers throughout the night,as if it were some ‘Lyricist Lounge’ type of ish. It felt like the 90’s yo! The vibes at the SVNTOS photography exhibit were mad ill, it was such an amazing night of photography, music, community, diversity and culture.
