Seems like Drake<\/strong> makes 2013 the year for comeback, from the features in Kendrick Lamar<\/strong> and A$AP Rocky\u2019s<\/strong> latest singles, to the YMCMB rapper finally giving us some new solo shit- \u201cStarted From The Bottom\u201d<\/em><\/strong>! <\/p>\n Drake<\/strong> released \u201cStarted From The Bottom\u201d<\/strong><\/em> on February 1st via his October\u2019s Very Own blog spot, taking it back to where he started his musical journey. This marks to be the first single off Drizzy\u2019s<\/strong> upcoming, yet untitled, third studio album. <\/p>\n The Mike Zombie<\/strong> produced \u201cStarted From The Bottom\u201d<\/em><\/strong> finds the actor-tunred-rapper reflecting upon a few of the events that lead path towards music making success. With a triumphant chant he repeats on the hook:<\/p>\n \u201cstarted from the bottom, now we here. Started from the bottom, now my whole team fucking here!\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n Drake<\/strong> also takes the time to recite a few lines to the skeptics, as he drops these lines on the 2nd verse:<\/p>\n \u201cBoys tell stories about the man<\/p>\n Say I never struggled, wasn’t hungry, yeah, I doubt it nigga.<\/p>\n I could turn your boy into the man<\/p>\n There ain’t really much I hear that’s poppin’ off without us, nigga<\/p>\n We just want the credit where it’s due<\/p>\n I\u2019ma worry about me, give a fuck about you<\/p>\n Nigga, just as a reminder to myself<\/p>\n I wear every single chain, even when I\u2019m in the house<\/p>\n Cause we…\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n right before going back into the hook. <\/p>\n Drizzy<\/strong> released the single with a personal message in which he shares \u201cIt has truly been too long… Today is the day to begin sharing my newest work with you… I feel sometimes that people don’t have enough information about my beginnings and therefore they make up a life story for me that isn’t consistent with actual events… I didn’t feel I needed any interviews or radio or press to launch this song. It felt right to come back to the site that I started on and release it to the people that started here with me…\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n I\u2019m sure all of you are anxiously looking forward to, as much as I am, to everything Drake<\/strong> has in store for us in 2013 with this upcoming album.
