It\u2019s bound to be a \u2018Cole Summer\u2019 !<\/p>\n

As J. Cole<\/a> puts the finishing touches on what is to be his second studio album, Born Sinner<\/em><\/strong>, the Roc Nation<\/a> signee gives us a little something for listening in the midst of the wait, with a new track titled \u201cCole Summer\u201d<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Cole<\/a> self-produced track samples Ms. Hill and D\u2019Angelo\u2019s soulful R&B classic \u201cNothing Even Matters\u201d- integrating the rapper into a smooth musical setting in which he\u2019s simply \u201csharing things [he] thinks quietly\u201d<\/strong><\/em>.
\nJ. Cole<\/a> makes it clear in the first verse that \u201cthis right here is not a preview of what the album\u2019s gonna bring you\u201d<\/strong><\/em> so don\u2019t be quick to build expectations. We are still anticipating surprises. <\/p>\n

With that being said, the Miguel<\/a> assisted track \u201cPower Trip<\/a>\u201d<\/em> remains the only taste we’ve savored from the upcoming release- and with the drop being only 2 months away, I predict we will be getting a follow-up single real soon. In the meantime, we can enjoy J. Cole<\/a> letting his thoughts run freely on \u201cCole Summer\u201d<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Born Sinner<\/em><\/strong> is set for release June 25th- make sure y\u2019all mark the date for Simba\u2018s return this summer!<\/p>\n
