It&#8217;s a staple of hip hop in the wilderness of the Los Angeles night. It&#8217;s a showcase for the aspiring. It&#8217;s a platform for emcees with the audacity to put their money where their mouth is and hu$tle tickets, create an audience for themselves and pay dues. It&#8217;s a place to sharpen your skills on the mic and your stage presence. And it&#8217;s also been a stronghold for legends in the game who have stayed true to the culture and always represented their own independent brand of Hip Hop.<\/p>\n<p>Twice a month, JiJi &amp; DJ Leviathon breathe life into the underground at the Airliner with the help of their resident hosts like MC Ducer (Project Blow&#8217;d) and DJ Lu Man (Break Beats &amp; Rhymes Radio).<\/p>\n<p>Friday January 10th was no different as <strong>Guilty Simpson<\/strong> and Apollo <strong>Brown<\/strong>, collectively known as <strong>&#8220;Dice Game&#8221;<\/strong>, crashed the upstairs stage with a barrage of double barrel sure shots that moved the crowd like stray bullets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Percee P<\/strong> was in the building moving units. <strong>MC Marlon D<\/strong> rocked both the outside and downstairs stages with the helps of DJ Kodak and a live saxophone player. <strong>Aspect One<\/strong> murdered the cypher in a free for all rumble when the microphone went up for grabs amongst a circle of tyrants. <strong>L. Scatterbrain<\/strong> was in the house representing the mighty <strong>Zulu Nation<\/strong>. <strong>Vizion<\/strong> was there putting it down for the IE. <strong>D. Braxx<\/strong> was reporting live from the field for The Rap Project. (www.therapprojectshow.com)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shi Dogg<\/strong> was demonstrating his technique in a private exhibition with his extended family from the D. <strong>DJ House Shoes<\/strong> could be found lamping in the cut on the balcony outside, and <strong>Agallah the Don<\/strong> was there promoting his new collaborative mixture, &#8220;Agallah X Alchemist: The Past And The Present.&#8221; the roof off the motherfucker in the land of warm winter days in Southern California.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keith Murray<\/strong> and <strong>Craig G<\/strong> are headlining the next two Urban Underground events at the Airliner, so if you truly love hip hop and can appreciate the art behind crafting an artist&#8217;s abilities in a live arena, make sure you go out and support the
