Virginia-based multi-genre producer Lakim<\/a> has released his first full-length album, ‘This Is Her’<\/em><\/strong>. The Soulection member is perhaps well known for his EP Esoteric, which dropped in summer 2012, and his collaborations with other artists like Sango<\/a> and Mr. Carmack<\/a> as well as various remixes of premium artists such as Erykah Badu, Kanye West<\/a>, and Frank Ocean<\/a>. Lakim’s sound ranges from electronic chillwaved dance to spacey future bass yet refined hip-hop. According to Lakim, the album has a very feminine vibe to it, as he drew inspiration for the project from the ladies he has encountered in his life. <\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the course of the year I probably spent making this, I met three woman that embodied some of these traits (calm & collected, sexy & sassy, grounded & driven, loving & unconditional) but not all of them. So, this is essentially me taking the best bits from each of them and creating in my mind a Bride of Franksteinesque ladyfriend and putting it into song form, lol…\u201d – Lakim<\/em><\/p>\n
