<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nOn March 8th, 2014 we checked out Hely Omar Gonzalez<\/a> art show, Private Party No.1, which took place in the city that gave birth to G-Funk, Long Beach, Ca. The event was held at New Americans Gallery inside of the Artist Co-Op. Hely Gonzalez showcased 57 6×9\u201d oil painting paper series that were rich in color and abstract.“As far as inspiration for the work, I would say it was a desire to explore and a willingness to experiment with color and application. Keeping all the pieces uniform in size, at 6×9″, and oil on primed paper, I wanted to see the range of work I could create on a smaller scale”<\/em> says Hely Gonzalez. He also mention that each painting that was displayed will one day be expressed in a larger version. Each 6×9″ painting were sold for only $10 which included a limited edition 22oz micro brew bottle, how cool is that? You know we had to cop one!
