Recently, from their debut they\u2019ve released a free download\/limited cassette of rarities, remixes, demos, field recordings, flip beats, and b-sides called \u201cMaps\u201d (aka their sonic scrap book).  The actual cassette release has been limited to 150 pieces so if you didn\u2019t snatch one up shoot over to cargocollective.com\/youngmagic to get your free download of this incredible mixtape.  Remixes include <strong>Martin Denny<\/strong>, <strong>Dorthy Ashby<\/strong>, <strong>Pharaoh Sanders<\/strong>, and newer artists including <strong>Prince Rama<\/strong> and <strong>Braids<\/strong>. Ghostly horns and synths transition into pounding bass giving Young Magic a strong foothold in the beat scene. It\u2019s these slumpy bass lines, off-time claps and unrecognizable samples that give the impression that they\u2019re ready for the Low End Theory. This album bangs from front to back with fuzzy Indian music seeping through the psychedelic classical guitar and tribal drums to the straight up boom bap reminiscent of 90\u2019s hip hop.  However you\u2019re listening to this mix, cassette or download, you\u2019re sure to enjoy it.
