Sophia Chang a.k.a \u201cESYMAI\u201d hails from the borough of Queens, New York. An avid and energized spirit, active in the art & design community. She works in all mediums of creative matter, from printmaking, apparel, websites, graphic design, illustration, consulting and more. Sophia has collaborated on projects with PUMA, Urban Outfitters, NBA, & countless other brands & artists. Her work has been featured in publications all over the world including Complex, VIBE, Nike Mag, UNDO Magazine Miss Wax and Sophis created a limited edition pendant that features a complete depiction of Sophia Chang\u2019s original \u201cShaolin\u201d praying hands, inspired by an essential theme in Wu-Tang\u2019s lyrics. Shaolin is an ancient Chinese martial art form, and is a coined reference for New York\u2019s Staten Island. The hands’ complex tattoo design are highlighted with an antiqued 14kt gold finish. <\/p>\n The concept behind this project is to combine creative talents from various U.S. cities to develop a jewelry series that illustrates each artist\u2019s work. In doing so, we aspire to bring awareness to the most deserving youth by creating a collection that speaks volume. Miss Wax goal is to inspire the creative youth to dream & create their own future, regardless of any circumstance. They want to encourage young visionaries to pursue success through the arts.
