On March 12th, ILLSOCIETY Media Group<\/strong> and Creative Upper Class<\/strong> celebrated style, art and music during LA Fashion Week with Keepers of the Culture<\/strong> in an exclusive fashion show styled by Milli<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As guest came up to the 7th floor they were greeted by a dope installation curated by Grown Azz Kids<\/strong>. The installation gathered inspired by the 90’s that included a projector that was blasting Menace II Society, vintage records and classic cult movies on VHS, a Michael Jordan cut out, and Cross Colours memorabilia. <\/p>\n

First to hit the runway was Los Angeles based label, Rebel Citizen<\/a> by Whitney Alix<\/a>. Timeless dashiki and African tribal prints infused pieces blitzed down the runway. The gear that flooded out and into the spotlight by Tried & True<\/a> took everyone back to the nostalgic 90’s. Quality authentic vintage ensembles had the power to remain timeless classics.<\/p>\n

The night was all about the 90’s and taking it back to hip-hop\u2019s roots. It just wouldn\u2019t have been complete if we didn\u2019t honor iconic hip-hop brand, Cross Colours<\/a>. The tri-color pieces were reminiscent of the early 1990’s. Special guest performer, Thurz<\/a> hit the stage during the tribute, performing \u2018Favorite Girl\u2019<\/em> and \u2018Iconic.\u2019<\/em> <\/p>\n

T.J. Walker<\/strong>, a Cross Colours<\/strong> founder, was in the audience as well as other notable stylists and artists such as Hitboy<\/strong>, Oktane<\/strong> of Audio Push<\/strong>, E Burns<\/strong>, Pooch Styles<\/strong>, Anwar Carrot<\/strong>, Yuske<\/strong> from Mookee<\/strong>, and Sincerely Jules<\/strong>.
