A$AP Rocky"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"625\" height=\"415\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/strEm9amZuo\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/center><\/p>\n<p><strong>A$AP Rocky<\/strong> recently made his big screen debut in screen writer\/Director <strong>Rick Famuyiwa&#8217;s<\/strong> movie <em>&#8220;Dope&#8221;<\/em> that is a coming of age comedy\/drama for the post hip hop generation. The movie follows the main character Malcolm <strong>(Shameik Moore)<\/strong> who is a geek, carefully surviving life in The Bottoms, a tough neighborhood in Inglewood, CA filled gangsters and drugs dealers, while juggling his senior year of college applications, interviews and the SAT exams. His dream is to attend Harvard. A chance invitation to a big underground party leads Malcolm and his friends into a, only in Los Angeles, gritty adventure filed with offbeat characters and bad choices. If Malcolm can persevere, he&#8217;ll go from being a geek, to being <em>dope<\/em>, to ultimately being himself. During the <strong>Sundance Film Festival<\/strong> in January, the official trailer for the movie has come out this past week. The much longer trailer, which celebrates A$AP Rocky\u2019s feature film debut, looks rather promising. <strong>Rick Famuyiwa<\/strong> was lucky enough to get the support of some film and music heavy weights. Among the long list of supporters of <strong>DOPE<\/strong> you find <strong>Forest Whitaker<\/strong> (Producer), <strong>Pharrell Williams<\/strong> (Executive Producer), and <strong>Diddy<\/strong> (Co-Executive Producer).
