While best known in the US for his sample-rich production work for Danny Brown, Charli XCX, Open Mike Eagle, and more, for <em>Rejuvenate<\/em> the multi-instrumentalist wrote, performed, and produced every note of the album, yielding a groove-heavy, psychedelic m\u00e9lange of cosmic rock, ambient, electronic, jazz, and folk that is his most cohesive, fully-realized offering yet. The record features guest vocals by Denai Moore, Shungudzo (aka Shun) and Sarah Williams White. <\/p>\n<p>The kaleidoscopic visual for Spare Gold is directed and animated by <a href=\"http:\/\/illsocietymag.com\/?s=Ruff+Mercy\">Ruff Mercy<\/a> (Run The Jewels, Lily Allen, Danny Brown) and, in an unexpected twist, the song is partly inspired by health insurance. White explains: <em>&#8216;whilst we were in the early stages of writing Spare Gold, Shun got an email saying her health insurance in the States was going up. This sparked the lines &#8220;can&#8217;t afford a doctor&#8221; and &#8220;what the hell is savings&#8221;, and we talked about things that keep you from feeling like a kid.
