Today, producer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter, and vocalist Devont\u00e9 Hynes aka Blood Orange has released the first two songs\/videos from his forthcoming fourth album, Negro Swan<\/em>, released via Domino on August 24, 2018.<\/p>\n \u201cJewelry\u201d was directed by Hynes, and stars Janet Mock, Kai the Black Angel, and Ian Isiah, among others. \u201cCharcoal Baby\u201d was directed by Crack Stevens. Negro Swan<\/em> was written and produced by Hynes. Says Hynes: <\/p>\n \u201cMy newest album is an exploration into my own and many types of black depression, an honest look at the corners of black existence, and the ongoing anxieties of queer\/people of color. A reach back into childhood and modern traumas, and the things we do to get through it all.
