Always inviting curiosity in his complex production, &#8220;Holding On&#8221; folds together echoing synth details with moments of beat-driven bliss and vocal manipulation against an alluring percussive backdrop. The smooth, powerful melodies from Brisbane-based singer Austen command attention throughout, married with the producer&#8217;s rhythmic pulses to keep the body moving with each and every listen.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;The song itself is about the idea of creating this sort of idealistic image of what a relationship is or was, kind of living in denial and holding on to that even if it&#8217;s detrimental to an individual,&#8221;<\/em> Dugong Jr says. <em>&#8220;In the music video, I wanted to represent an abstract adaptation of the same kind of idea but have it be more visually quirky and weird.
