Alternative r&b singer and songwriter Gallant<\/strong> returns with a brand new single entitled \u201cSharpest Edges.\u201d A bright backdrop of neon synths and flourishes of glossy eighties-style production by Stint<\/strong>, Gallant’s voice slips from evocative verses into a head-bobbing hypnotic hook as he croons, \u201cYou\u2019ve got the sharpest edges I\u2019ve ever seen,\u201d<\/em> and the bridge climaxes with an ecstatic falsetto wail. Bridging eras and defying genres, “Sharpest Edges” illuminates Gallant\u2019s slick, sultry and soulful evolution.<\/p>\n

Gallant<\/strong> commented on the song, \u201cThere are two sides to every coin\u2014a bunch of caskets buried underneath every vacation home. I had problems with depression for a long time because even though you get to choose your own outlook on life, it\u2019s hard sometimes to ignore the bad shit, the mistakes you made and the things you could have done better. It\u2019s easier to admit the world is full of sharp edges\u2014and to make a goal to have as many close calls as you can.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
