His last album that came out in 2008, Universal Mind Control, was good but The Neptunes productions overpowered his lyrics a bit. With Common\u2019s new album The Dreamer\/The Believer he decided to go back to collaborating with his old friend and musical producer No I.D. adding under classic under his resume. This album Common takes us back to the essence of true hip-hop with ill beats and fresh rhymes. The album has a decent balance of intensity with \u201cGhetto Dreams\u201d featuring Nas, rawness with \u201cSweet\u201d, and witty soulful poetry fused with hard-hitting jazz rhythms on \u201cThe Dreamer\u201d which features Maya Angelou reading an original poem.
