Los Angeles graffiti legends REVOK<\/strong> and SABER<\/strong> kicked off their highly awaited solo shows ‘Gilgamesh’<\/em> and ‘Beautification’<\/em> this Saturday at Known Gallery<\/strong>. REVOK’s<\/strong> ‘Gilgamesh’<\/em> is the assemblage of cut up objects that have been scavenged from abandoned homes, churches and other wandered upon buildings. Each piece tells a neighborhood story and is named after the street where it is from. SABER’s<\/strong> ‘Beautification’<\/em> carries his now signiture brush stroke but incorporates new figurative components seemingly beautifying the once graffitied wall. The collections are contemporary but embody artists REVOK<\/strong> and SABER’s<\/strong> old school experience, drive, and style. The show runs July 28 – August 11, at Known Gallery.<\/p>\n
