The mad scientist of the low end, better known as The Gaslamp Killer<\/a>, is getting ready to conduct cold fusion once again as he prepares to release his debut full-length album, Breakthrough, on Flying Lotus\u2019 Brainfeeder Records<\/a>. The release party for this excursion through extraterrestrial lo-fi funk is going down on Tuesday September 18th<\/strong> at the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles<\/strong> and is presented by Red Bull Music Academy<\/a>, so you know it\u2019s sure to give you wings while you get your head banging boogie on. The Gaslamp Killer has been seen with everyone from Adrian Younge of the Black Dynamite Orchestra to Erykah Badu recently, so you never know exactly who will turn up to show love to this modern pioneer of turntablism. Expect experiments in sound that have never been heard before, expect the outer limits of noise to be pushed further down the rabbit hole. Part psych-rock, part electro trip-hop jazz and all the way live, you never know exactly what you\u2019re gonna get when dealing with The Gaslamp Killer\u2026 one thing\u2019s for sure tho.. you can get your face burnt the fuck off and deformed standing too close to the speakers as the volume is sure to get turnt all the way up to celebrate the release of this new project.<\/p>\n
