Following the breakout success of his previous mixtape, The Rock & Roll Experiment Bajan soul singer\/songwriter Hal Linton<\/strong> has now finally released his highly anticipated Technicolour<\/strong> mixtape. You can hear the incredible amount of growth of this project since the release of The Rock and Roll Experiment in 2010. This guy is tremendously talented and there just is no getting around it; he has an unbelievable voice, he writes all of his own songs, and he even produced quite a few of the tracks himself as well. Other producers include, Art & Life Productions<\/strong>, HitRoom<\/strong>, and Mpiii<\/strong>. The outcome of these production mixtures gives an eccentric and neo-soul vibe that will give you MAJOR ear-gasms! <\/p>\n

Linton<\/strong> speaks highly of this project and refers to his songs as \u201cpersonal life stories\u201d about love and relationships. He has stated that \u201cCheater\u201d<\/em>, is one of his favorite songs-as well as mine- and is a message to the fellas who, when it comes to relations, act on instinct intead of feelings. \u201cFather, father, please forgive me\/Cause I have sinned and I think I liked it, I liked it\/I know that she, was a good woman\/She didn’t deserved this shit\/But I gave it to her anyway\/ I’ve dreamed, of being a better man\/Now I understand, my sickness and my disease are different..\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n

Another standout track is \u201cCircles\u201d<\/em>, produced by Art & Life Productions<\/strong>, is also one of the mixtape singles. It is a song about continuously running back to the same lover, which included a few mentions of Brooklyn in the lyrics. \u201cheaven help me ’cause I go crazy and lose it all\/To sin around with you, girl\/ I’m doing me and I gotta do, I gotta do Even more than that\/See I’ve been minding my own business extinguing all\/I get a text with you\/And every time I try to ignore it I go insane\/So you text back too\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The crowd pleaser however, is \u201cCritical Condition\u201d<\/em> featuring fellow Bajan singer Shontelle<\/strong>. This track is produced by Hal<\/strong> himself and is about loving someone with a broken heart. The two artists have teamed up again for a flavorful, sexy, Caribbean track that is clearly inspired by Linton\u2019s<\/strong> Barbadian roots, and is the perfect song to dutty whine to! And what good is a Soulful mixtape without that acapella track? \u201cBeyond\u201d<\/em> is without a doubt, that track that makes you melt. It is produced by Hal<\/strong> as well and is kind of reminiscent of Shia\u2019s eighties cut, \u201cIf I ever fall in love.\u201d This is music that needs to be downloaded a million times over. The lyricism on this tape is ingenious and overall, Technicolour is sure to please Linton\u2019s<\/strong> ever-growing fan base. Cop Technicolour here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
