The up- and-coming Oakland emcee provides listeners with a quality filled, 10-track project in which beats by Azur\u00e9<\/strong> , Chase Moore<\/strong>, DJ Dahl<\/strong>, DJ Vision<\/strong>, E.C. Hippie Sabotage<\/strong>, Jansport J<\/strong> and Jonathan Lowell<\/strong>, take center stage. Daydreams & Warm Nights<\/strong> also includes guest spots from J.Good<\/strong>, Deuce Eclipse<\/strong>, Shark Sinatra<\/strong>, Von Pea<\/strong> (of Tanya Morgan) , and Zumbi<\/strong> (of Zion I). <\/p>\n

Daydreams & Warm Nights<\/strong> steps off with a Jansport J<\/strong> production on the track \u201cRise & Shine\u201d<\/em>. J.Lately<\/strong> reminds all to wake up and get yours, follow your dreams, and grind, over a uplifting Jazzy-band filled instrumental. The following track , \u201cThe Medicine\u201d<\/em> (featuring Shark Sinatra & Azur\u00e9) follows an equivalent story line, and has that same jazz feel, surrounded by a strong saxophone presence amongst flavorful hints of drums and snares. <\/p>\n

Among the notable Von Pea<\/strong> and J.Good<\/strong> assisted lead track, \u201cGood Stuff\u201d<\/em>, lies another noteworthy collaboration \u201cEnergy\u201d<\/em>, which features Deuce Eclipse<\/strong> and emcee Zumbi<\/strong> from the bay area\u2019s hip hop group Zion-I<\/strong>. This track if filled with nothing but positive \u2018energy\u2019. It is probably the most stand out track on the project, the chorus is easily understood and to the point, giving the message to \u201c\u2026learn to give back what this life takes cuz the energy stays when the light fades\u2026 don\u2019t get caught up in the space ships and light rays. Better love what you got, learn to like change cuz the energy stays\u2026\u201d-<\/em> a lesson as to say, you get back what you put out. <\/p>\n

But Even without assistance, J. Lately<\/strong> showcases his ability to rhyme say very well- as we can witness on tracks like \u201cThe Lesson\u201d<\/em> and the dream-like, corresponded titled track \u201cDaydreams & Warm Nights\u201d<\/em>. The kid has talent. Don\u2019t just think it\u2019s the beats deceiving your ears. <\/p>\n

Daydreams & Warm Nights<\/strong> grants an enjoyable listen with nothing but uplifting lyricism, dream-like, and smooth sounding instrumentals. <\/p>\n
