After a steady and continuous mixtape grind, Inglewood emcee Skeme<\/strong> finally makes his album debut with Alive & Living<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Skeme<\/strong> brings forth a project boasting production credit by BeatBoy<\/strong>, Boi-1da<\/strong>, Chase N. Cashe<\/strong>, DJ Dahi<\/strong> , K.Roosevelt<\/strong>, THC<\/strong>, The Futuristiks<\/strong>, and Trend<\/strong>. He also flaunts a decent line of features as he teams up with Iggy Azalea<\/strong>, Bryan Roberts<\/strong>, Jay 305<\/strong>, Kent Jamz<\/strong>, Problem<\/strong>, ScHoolBoy Q<\/strong>, Dom Kennedy<\/strong>, and the latest west coast phenomena Kendrick Lamar<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Alive & Living<\/strong> includes the Jay 305<\/strong> accompanied lead single \u201cAin\u2019t \u2019Bout That Life\u201d<\/em>. Australian Grand Hustle rapstress, Iggy Azalea<\/strong> joins Skeme<\/strong> on \u201cMo Flow\u201d<\/em> where she flaunts a flawless delivery, alongside clever lines. Dom Kennedy<\/strong>, Bryant Roberts<\/strong>, and the Inglewood emcee spit over a Junior Mafia\u2019s \u201cCrush On You\u201d<\/em> inspired, Futuristiks<\/strong>, beat. Problem<\/strong> contributes to a slight seductive \u201ctrill\u201d<\/em> track on \u201cLean and Weed\u201d<\/em>. But it is the tracks that feature TDE members that outstandingly shine.ScHoolBoy Q<\/strong> joins Skeme<\/strong> on \u201cKidz With Gunz\u201d<\/em> on a very well \u201cgangstafied\u201d track where both emcees go in with full on gangsta-rap, west coast mentality. Compton\u2019s Kendrick Lamar<\/strong> recites lines on \u201cI Remember\u201d<\/em> as both speak on the changing times and the mentality that accompanies being real and the ambition to make it in this game. <\/p>\n

Skeme<\/strong> provides a fine track on \u201cBorn to Ball\u201d<\/em> as he spits over a bare bones drum beat worth west coast keys produced by K.Roosevelt<\/strong> that hits close to home. He then comes in on the victorious \u201cHeaded Home\u201d<\/em> where he prides on putting on for his city. \u201cPull Up\u201d<\/em> is probably the most intriguing banger on the album though, guaranteed to be a a sudden anthem- \u201cpull up, pop out, fuck! It\u2019s nothing\u2019\u2026pull up, pop out, fuck! It\u2019s nothin\u2019\u2026pull up, pop out, fuck! It\u2019s nothin\u2018\u2026!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Alive & Living<\/strong> is a decent debut that proves that this Inglewood emcee has potential on the mic and should not be slept on. Make sure you cop<\/a> this! <\/p>\n
