Bright lights, high fashion, screaming fans and a lifestyle most people can only dream about…. Yes “The Life Is So Exciting!” Fabolous and Pusha T took center stage in their co-headlining “The Life Is So Exciting” tour this past week at Club Nokia Friday night in downtown Los Angeles sponsored by MTV Jams. The evening brought in a vibrant crowd of Hip-Hop lovers, hipsters, fashionista’s, backpackers, sexy ladies, and a handful of your local neighborhood street pharmacist aka ya daddy’s favorite dealer courtesy of everybody’s favorite #1 Pusha (Yulk). As fans entered the arena, you could instantly feel the anticipation leading up to Pusha T set as his Dj and band began lining up the performance.

When 10:15 approached, it’s showtime as Pusha T hits the stage and comes out swinging with a lyrical assualt of clever one-liners from his latest mixtape “Wrath of Caine.” As soon as the beat drops from the intro of “Wrath of Caine,” the crowd exploded with energy as Pusha T spit his cocaine drug flow lyrical wordplay that inspires the heart of any D-boy (Yulk). Did we mention Pusha T’s outfit during the performance? Pusha T sported a new T-shirt from Givenchy’s latest collection, Balmain jeans, and Balenciaga sneakers topped off with a Don C/Mitchell & Ness strapback. Pusha T looked like he just finished leaving Paris Fashion Week, “Balling I’m Putting Numbers on the Board!” Now lets get back to the music. He warmed up the crowd first with by running through selections such as “Blocka”, “Millions”, and “Trust You” that got the crowd going. Following selections from his latest mixtape he brought back classics from the Clipse including “Grindin” and “Popular Demand.” Pusha T served up a complete catalogue of street inspired anthems followed by G.O.O.D. Music hits “New God Flow,” Mercy,” and the remix of Chief Keef’s smash hit “I Don’t Like” The self proclaimed G.O.O.D. Music golden child closed his set with his latest single “Numbers on the Board,” which is a lyrically written masterpiece that gave away for Fabolous to hit the stage.

During the brief intermission, everybody took time to hit the bar before Fabolous hit the stage for their “Last call for alcohol” as the final performance of the night approached. The clock strikes 11:30 and the Brooklyn native Fabolous aka Loso in case you aint know so strutted out onto the stage as the beat to Jay Electronica’s “Exhibit A” echoed through the speakers. It’s showtime and Fab hits the stage rocking a custom Givenchy inspired Brooklyn Nets jersey, leather shorts, Jordan Infrared 6’s, and his signature black sunglasses as Fab would say “NICE!” He continued delivering heat from his current S.O.U.L. Tape 2 mixtape with tracks like “For the love,” the Rihanna inspired “Diamond,” “B.I.T.E.” and “Only Life I Know” with fellow Brooklyn freshman Troy Ave. Fabolous even shocked the crowd and brought out Cassie and Trey Songz to perform the remix to Rick Ross “Diced Pineapples.”

After performing a majority of his latest mixtape, Fab wasted no time giving the fans what they wanted reaching back into his deep catalogue and performing classics like “Can’t Deny It” ft. Nate Dogg, “This is My Party,” and “Young’n” produced by The Neptunes. Fabolous got the ladies involved performing tracks like “So Into You,” “Can’t Let You Go,” and “SuperWoman pt 2” ft. Lil Mo while fans chanted “Its the da-da-da-da- damn!” He kept delivering hit after hit for the ladies performing “Make Me Better” and “You Be Killen Em” that had women standing to their feet screaming. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better he brought out “The Dream” and took the ladies shopping performing “Throw it in the Bag.”

Following The Dreams performance, Fabolous sent the buildings energy to an all-time high performing his classic track “Breathe” produced by Just Blaze that brought Club Nokia to another level. Before the night was over, Fab had one more special guest as he brought out Red Cafe to perform “Money, Money, Money” and “I’m ILL” that got the fellas back on the scene. As the night came to a close, Fab reminded his loyal fans that he will be releasing his next album Loso’s Way this summer and closed his set with Pusha T performing “The Life Is So Exciting” ending the night with as much excitement as the beginning.
