In the world of fashion, style, originality, design, and excitement are areas where designers can take a simple collection and mold it into a modern day canvas of creative art/design. The streetwear industry has always been a male driven/dominated market derived from the modern surf culture of the late 1970’s/early 1980’s era. Today, the industry is revolutionized with new streetwear brands emerging within the market that are ready to make an imprint on the fashion world.
One of the newest and most exciting brands making its mark in fashion is Los Angeles lifestyle brand Marillest who’s embedded itself into the male dominated industry designed, run, and operated by women. Marillest is a street lifestyle apparel brand inspired by art, culture, and everyday Southern California created by its three founders Mari Nazaryan, Arpa Sarian, and Piruz Dedeyan founded in 2009. Since their early stages, Marillest has studied the competition and paved their own lane to establish an identity of cutting edge fashion creating a movement set to inspire the next generation of young designers. Recently, we had a chance to preview their latest collection from their upcoming release titled the “Camp/Lake” Collection slated to drop this Fall during the Venue Tradeshow at the La Convention Center June 28th, 2013.
