If there’s anything we know about Converse it’s that they are no strangers to collaborations. In their latest installment, the iconic shoe company teams up with Brazilian fashion label Isolda to produce a sneaker collection featuring a variety of bold and colorful designs that pay tribute to Brazil’s vibrant culture. The footwear range features a total of nine different prints finished on a trio of iconic Converse silhouettes – the Chuck Taylor, the CONS Auckland Racer and the CONS Skidgrip. If there were two words to describe this sneaker collection it would be “Ba-nanas” with the versatility of the vibrant prints on each shoe design. The sneakers are made with a series of different bright watercolors featuring cashews, guavas, “tutti frutti” and gemstones prints, in addition to remakes of lobsters and octopus. The artwork draws inspiration from Brazil’s tropical climate and culture that is duplicated across the canvas of each shoe, which is completed with a white rand and white leather logo detailing. The shoes will only be made made available exclusively at select retailers in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo this week.
