On January 29th & 30th we had the pleasure to attend the Venue Tradeshow for the second year in Downtown Los Angeles. We must say, we were really impress with the location (Cooper Design Space Building) and its layout. The Cooper Building provided a wonderful view of Downtown L.A’s concrete metropolis, the layout this year had a more intimate, creative feel compare to last years layout. It allowed the exhibitor’s, buyer’s, and press to connect with one another in a more personal level, that was pretty cool. The tradeshow featured a variety of independents brands, such as CBNC, Gods Vs Giants, Wolf & Man, Veritas and many more. The panel session this year featured Mercedes Gonzales, Director of Global Purchasing Groups, and a Designer Panel hosted by Jon Phenom, that were both very informative to the up and coming brand. Venue Tradeshow allows independent brands to branch out to sell pieces, network, and become even more discovered on the street wear scene. The new generation of designers had a lot of cool pieces from crazy strapped sneakers to the finest leathers in fashion. Every designer had their own unique story to tell about their lines to buy’s and attendees so that they can get the feel for their pieces. The first day would most definitely have to be one of the best turn outs for Venue Trade show due to outstanding coordination.
