The Stussy x Soulection compilation has finally arrived. We here at ILLSOCIETY Magazine have been fans/supporter of the Soulection collective since day one. They’ve been putting in work for quite sometime now. For those who do not know its been over a period of 3 years since the platform was created. And there’s no signs of them slowing down anytime soon! With big accomplishments like the Sound Of Tomorrow residency at the Echoplex and new broadcasting ventures with London based radio stations, Rinse FM, they continue to grow as a collective. This collaboration is another milestone of their achievements, as they collaborate with one of the most culturally relevant and timeless brands of all times, Stussy. To bring us a progressive and cohesive compilation.
The task of compiling a compilation isn’t as easy as it sounds. With the access to the internet you find yourself finding so much talent out there. That lead them to sift through dozens of tracks to curate the finest selection of progressive music from around the globe to bring visibility to the future sound.
You will see familiar official Soulection artists on this compilation as well some new talent from forward-thinking and ambitious producers, emcees and vocalists that their excited about and feel have a bright future.
Some of our favorite tracks on the compilation are “Champion Riddim” by Zikomo, “Velho” (Freestyle) by GoldlLink, “The Seems” by Sam Gellaitry x Connor Pearson, “Antidote” by Evil Needle, “The One” by 10A, “Mantralu” by PYRMDPLAZA, and “Momma’s Hoopty” by Leland Aleem Fākir.
Their partnership with the iconic brand includes a ‘Soulection Tribe’ limited t-shirt designed by Stussy as well as a physical in-store event and after party later on tonight! at thier Sound Of Tomorrow Los Angeles monthly at The Echoplex.
