Markus Reugels has a passion for taking pictures of water drops. It shows. His images, taken with High-speed Photography, capture a waters moment exotically with dance and light. What makes his work especially interesting is that at first glance you wonder if it could be blown glass, or maybe some insane futuristic lamp. You wonder if it is a watercolor painting or possibly images of those crazy electronic deep sea jellyfish. Look closer you find it is simply water but much more intricate than you’ve probably ever seen before. Even more impressive is that Markus Reugels is a self taught photographer and also the mastermind behind the many intricate techniques utilized to empower the use of his favorite genre, Macro Photography,
“High-speed Photography with which I can show the beautiful things we don’t consider in our life. Or we are not able to see them with our eyes.”

Markus Reugels currently lives in Marksteinach, Germany with his wife and 2 children.
