Designer Yuki Matsuda delivers his new collection for his clothing brand Monitaly which features American-made goods built to the highest standards, with vintage inspired looks updated with modern silhouettes. Monitaly’s lookbook for Spring/Summer 2012 is a tribute to the great outdoors and the sporting life, with terrific hand-sewn l moccasins framed next to the catch of the day. Standouts include the Mountain Parka in bright traffic-cone orange, crafted from 100% waxed cotton with classic western style yoke, reinforced elbow patches and interior chambray piping, as well as a three-piece khaki cotton suit with natural shoulders, casual patch pockets and mismatched metal buttons. They’re joined by Monitaly staples like triple needle shirts and rugged khaki trousers and shorts. Monitaly’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection is available now at Melbourne’s Up There store.
