Yesterday marks the 18th anniversary of the late Notorious B.I.G.’s death, and what better way to celebrate his life, than having Kendrick Lamar freestyle mad bars over “Warning”, “Respect” and “The What”. Kendrick has the ability to take hip-hop back to it’s roots of when it started with his politically charged lyrics and swift flow.

“From Compton through congress,

It’s set trippin’ all around,
Ain’t nothin’ new

But a flow of new DemoCrips and ReBloodicans”

K. Dot’s sophomore album is set to drop March 23rd. With little known about his upcoming album, his latest single, ‘The Blacker the Berry,’ along with his latest freestyle, could very well be an example of what we could expect in the next few weeks. Watch the freestyle above!
