This past Saturday night, March 28th, 2015 Scion AV hosted their latest gallery installation on Melrose in celebration of Anwar Carrots’ newly launched Carrots by Anwar Carrots.
The opening event kicked off around 8 o’clock and the space quickly filled with a lot of familiar faces from the Fairfax streetwear scene who came to support their friend. Attendees included Tyler the Creator, Frank 151 Founder Stephen Malbon, hip hop artist Krondon (Strong Arm Steady), Loiter Squad’s Jasper Dolphin (OFWGKTA), Born x Raised founder Spanto, Adem Niazi (40’s & Shorties), Joshton Peas (Peas & Carrots), Reggie Sylvester II (SLVSTR), Paulo Wallo (Rare Panther), Spoety (Supreme), and Photographer Quang Le (Stance / LRG).
Limited edition collaboration tees, thermals, hoodies, jackets, and accessories by Anwar with Born x Raised, Dertbag, The Freed Minds, Midnight Studios, U.S. Alteration, and Ebbets Field were unveiled and available for purchase for the very first time, exclusive to the Scion hybrid gallery space. Also on display, were original artworks by Pixote, SLVSTR, Stella Blu, Tyler the Creator, and Evan Rossell. The pop up shop and installation will be on view and open to the public Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 7pm until April 25th.
