There’s a magnetic connection between music and skateboarding that has a lot of similarities between the two where each parallel one another. In celebrating the similarities between music and skateboarding, DQM and Vans have linked with Blue Note Records for an exciting footwear collaboration and coinciding film. Following a look inside the film you are introduced to renowned musician/producer and the President of Blue Note Records, Don Was alongside legendary skateboarder and jazz-inspired contemporary musician, Ray Barbee who each dig deeper into the similar nature and connection between each creative art form. To commemorate the the film Vans has released a collaboration with DQM featuring the Vans OG Era LX and OG Sk8-Hi LX showcasing in two colorways, as “The Colors” tandem drop will be taking place in-store on May 8 and online on May 11. “The Blues” pair will then be landing later in June for men and women.
