On May 19-20, Venue Trade Show took over their new home at the Reef LA in downtown. The space was curated more like an art gallery than your usual brand marketplace. It had a totally different feel from the past shows we’ve attended at the Cooper Building and Convention Center. Some brand installations that stood out to us were HLZBLZ, Seize & Desist, Civil Clothing, and DYNT. We were also impressed by music inspired oil painter Mariella Angela, whose work could be seen throughout the whole space and was on hand finishing a Kendrick Lamar piece at her booth, a very talented young lady. Speaking of ladies, shout out to our girls Donna and Joanne Vo of Shop D&J for putting on for the females in the industry with their Ladies First Lounge; where you could get your hair done and a henna tattoo for discounted rates.. props to them. I can’t forget the food and cocktail vendors that were in the building serving up delectables; Pappas Artisanal (great sandwiches), California Donuts, and Bar Babes LA (shout out Ciroc). The two day affair closed with a INSIGHT panel hosted by Bee Nguyen of industry influencers like James Bond (Undefeated), Dennis Calvero (Crooks & Castles), Stephen Malbon (Frank151), Miss Lawn (HLZBLZ), and Rob Heppler (Buscemi), to name a few, who spoke to an audience of future entrepreneurs and we’re available for questions afterwards. Were glad we were able to attend and pleased with the overall presentation that is Venue Tradeshow. Thanks Miles Canares and Robbie Eala and we’ll see you in October!
