Kari Faux releases the debut single “Nada” from her upcoming EP Lost En Los Angeles. Building a following in her hometown Little Rock as well as Atlanta, Kari has released various mixtapes up until her standout Laugh Now, Die Later project which garnered the attention of a variety of artists including Wiz Khalifa, Janelle Monae, and Childish Gambino. The latter proved to love the project so much, he asked Faux to remix her bass heavy, nostalgic popular song “No Small Talk”, which was included on his Stone Mountain mixtape.
With a style that disarms the listener’s expectations of what a southern female rapper should sound like, she is known for her in the pocket flow and smooth delivery. She’s been featured in publications like NYLON, the Fader, Complex, LA Weekly and more.
