When Danish sportswear kings hummel teamed up with Japanese sneaker giants atmos and contemporary womenswear label Mila Owen, the focus was clear from the start – this shoe was for girls only.
Based on hummel’s 1983 classic running silhouette, the Marathona, this trainer embodies minimalistic elements of Danish and Japanese design in two monochromatic colour ways.
Up and coming photographer Sirius Film partners with stylist Alize Demange, to showcase the new sneaker with an an edgy, street-style photographic series. Shot on location in London, the Girls Only pack is coupled with East Asian accessories and a playfully androgynous vibe.
Founded in 1923, hummel are a sports brand with deep roots in football, worn by the world’s greatest football teams including Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur. Hummel today lives and breathes by it’s company karma programs and drives positive change in the world through sport. This release is hummel’s second installment in a series where the brand meets Japan, following on from the hummel x atmos Globetrotter 28 release in March.
