Album: Infinite Intelligence
Artist: Poetik Force
Released: March 29, 2012

Jumping into the scene back in 2010, Poetik Force has released his new album Infinite Intelligence to critical acclaim and shows no sign of slowing down. The thing I like most about his work is the powerful words and knowledge that is dropped on this 13 track album. Poetik has continued the “open your mind and anything is possible” theme from his second album. This album is filled with light hearted beats that hit and up lifting lyrics that will help many find some inspiration. He has brought in Kaleem Wasif to control the boards. Wasif production and Poetik rhymes have reminded me a lot of Dilated Peoples, with his light voice, quick thoughtful rhymes like Evidence and Wasif getting in touch with the classic underground hip hop sound that Alchemist brought to life with DP.

One track that really displays their music style is “Last Days” which features Brook Taylor. The track makes you think outside of the box. The hook is seductive asking the audience “what would you do if these were your last days?” I can’t stop playing it and every time I keep trying to find ways to change lifes ultimate plan. From this being the 2nd song on the album to the last lucky 13th track you can see where Poetik has really learned from the greats (Ohio Players, ATCQ, Big L, Freestyle Fellowship). Speaking of last but not least is the closer of the album, “Strings of Love Ft. Phantom Thrett”. Wasif drops some bars as well and decided with this track to produce the music low and the vocal high so the listener focuses on the message “where’s the love”. Poetik and Phantom bring the whole thing together with this one. You hear the true passion these two mc’s have for hip hop. It starts as an acappella to rope you in then the snare snaps and it all begins. The production is very spacey and has you feeling as if you are being lifted in the clouds to find the love.

Check out his collection of works at his bandcamp page and pass on the message.
