The renown global dance party, Electric Punanny, kicked off its 3rd installment in Los Angeles during Memorial Day Weekend. It was held at the Grand Star Jazz Club located in the center of Chinatown. The unique venue dividing its self up in two levels which are both decked out with a full bar and DJ booth. The first level featured DJ sets by Solo, BunxDadda, and Like from Pac Div. The DJs spinning throughout the night upstairs were Spill, Mantron, DJ Aaron Paar, Jasmine Solano and Melo-X.

The creators of Electric Punanny, Jasmine Solano and Melo-X, kept the high energy and dancehall hits throughout the night. Jasmine Solano brought out her surprise guest, Estelle, who sang impromptu on a track. The B2B sets would not be complete without a friendly battle between the duo. Jasmine spinned a few rap joints such as Jumpman by Drake & Future and Back That Azz Up from Juvenile. Melo-X responded with Sippin’ on Some Syrup by Three Six Mafia and Sorry by Beyonce which he produced from her recent project Lemonade. The night was filled with good music, good times, and good vibes. Shouts-out to Jasmine and Melo for killing it! Thanks to ILLSOCIETY, Project Live LA, Kingston to LA, and Swim Team for making it all possible. Check out the photos from the night below and we’ll see you at the next one!
