On June 27, 2016 we were very lucky to attend Anderson Paak & The Free Nationals sold out show, which also featured Little Simz at The Ace Hotel, in downtown Los Angeles. Paak put on a breathtaking performance showcasing his unique genre blending sound of soulful R&B and hip hop. Performing tunes from not only his critically acclaimed Malibu album, but also from his Venice project and collaboration tracks with Knxwledge entitled NxWorries as well as Kaytranada’s hit single “Glowed Up.” Opening the night was London’s spitter Little Simz who also had a great performance performing tracks off her A Curious Tale Of Trials + Persons album like “Dead Body” and “Wings”. Some of the highlights of the night was when Anderson Paak brought out T.I. for a verse on “Come Down” and Black Thought of The Roots to perform The Root’s classic “The Seed.” P. Diddy, Questlove, Dave Chappelle, and Syd tha Kyd (The Internet) were in the building as well. If you missed out, don’t worry we got you covered. Check out the photo recap below!
