Abjo continues his Latin wave with his latest releases, #VIBRA. Its his follow up to Vibração Comigo, and second installation to his Latin infused, future beat series. The project holds 9 tracks and a bones track titled, “Araruta”. You’ll hear some very familiar samples on #VIBRA, which was intended says the San Diego native:
“The focus for this album: paying homage to all my favorite samples/sample sources, most of which were used by my musical heroes, Madlib, Jay Dee aka J Dilla, DOOM, and many others, while layering in samples from other latin/Brasilian, as well as African influences of theirs (and mine) like Arthur Verocai, Fela Kuti, or Azymuth, forming my own interpretation of all their musical palettes.” – Abjo
