As elusive as he is, one would be lucky to catch the Australian producer Ta-ku playing a set of his mellow, heart-felt, vibey tunes at The Novo in DTLA on a Wednesday evening. His set captivated the audience by his wicked mixture of hip-hop elements and electronic beats. During his set, he brought out a couple of guest performers such as, Wafia and JMSN, where their vocals meshed perfectly with Ta-ku’s production and sound. Through his abstract visuals, it emulated an intimate feeling for the crowd. As a whole, the show was cozy, authentic, and “too many feels.” Be sure to check out his latest project (m)edian EP on itunes and Spotify.
