Friday, November 11, 2016 the city of Santa Ana was in for a treat with a rad concert. Carol City, Zone 3 rapper Denzel Curry and his C9 crew, along with Boogie from Compton, and astral funk, Brooklyn hip-hop band Phony Ppl took over the Observatory venue. The show opened up with Yoshi Thompkins and J.K. The Reaper. They both killed it with their explosive energy. This created anticipation and hype for the C9 general himself, Denzel Curry, who had the kids screamed “ULT” all night. Performing songs from his Nostalgia 64 album to his latest project Imperial, Curry had shit ultra lit!

In the Constellation Room at the Observatory, a cult following of Phony Ppl had the privilege to experience a very intimate show from the Brooklyn band. There wasn’t a moment during the show where fans were not grooving along to the Phony Ppl tunes. After the show, the humble group of musicians stay and interacted with the fans putting a good ending to their nights.
