Red Bull Sound Select night 22 out of “30 Days In LA” was a night filled of excitement that featured Xavier Omar, and AlunaGeorge live at The Belasco Theater.
Xavier Omar formerly known as SPZRKT or Spazzy Rocket began the night unexpectedly bringing the high energy on Tuesday night. Xavier Omar and his DJ welcomed the Los Angeles crowd by playing classic hype songs such as “Jump Around” by House of Pain and Fatman Scoop’s “Be Faithful” literally having the Belasco turning up on a Tuesday. Everyone was not expecting the sudden change in energy and music selection because Xavier Omar’s music is more chill, sexy, and vibey. He then eventually played songs from his 2016 releases The Everlasting Wave and collaborative project with Sango, Hours Spent Loving You. Some of the crowed favorites were his more popular songs “Blind Man,” “Hipster Girl,” and “JMK“.
Headlining night 22 was none other than English music duo AlunaGeorge. Vocalist and singer Aluna Francis and producer and instrumentalist George Reid out of London, UK sold out the Belasco Theater. The first 50 attendees received a custom AlunaGeorge Red Bull t-shirt. AlunaGeorge has a huge following here in the States, looking around all you could see is everyone men and women singing along to every song word-for-word. Fresh off their successes of their 2016 release I Remember, the duo brought it back with old music to test their loyal fan base and also played their most popular hit to date in collaboration with Dj Snake “You know you like it”.
