Album: 2Dirt4TV vol. 1
Artist: Quelle Chris
Released: April 4,2012

Quelle Chris released another dope project “2Dirt4TV”. The Detroit native spit that realism on “Live Alone, Die Alone” which is the first single of his new project. Quelle is no stranger to this hip hop shit, he is a household name in his city with a track record of works with Wasted Youth, Ta’Raach, Guilty Simpson and historic work with Danny Brown. This newest collection of tracks doesn’t feel so new. The vintage spoken word rhyming style, echoes, and cuts that drop samples from shows, comedians and more are the ingredients for this album. That last sample on “Whateverdoe” had me rolling. You can tell from the lo-fi sound being used these guys were in touch with the 90’s hip hop that led the way to many out there. The album is short and sweet with 6 tracks each staying under 4 minutes besides the self titled track. Production was done by chop master himself Dibia$e and he is no rookie, displaying his ability to mix comedy samples and hooks that are just in your face Quelle could do nothing but spit fire. Closing the album is “MFK”, which has Quelle coming heavy with analogies and short bars. The track is where it needed to be and allowed Dibia$e to drop some instrumental work that hit with the keys he decided to use were on point. Another digital album that you can catch for the low low of $5 dollar make ya holla, which is well worth it. If you are fans of De La Soul, ATCQ, Del the Funky Homosapien, Jurassic 5, Cesar Comanche you will have to pick this up and won’t be disappointed. You could cop it on his bandcamp.
