On April 18,2017 DJ Shadow performed a very special set in Hollywood at the Fonda Theatre. First up was Sam Gellaitry, a producer/dj with a very unique sound. Sam G. Wowed the crowd with a set of all his material including his new release “Escapism III”. While relatively unknown to many in the crowd, Sam definitely made fans in the entire club that night!
Next up was the headliner DJ Shadow, he began his set by challenging the crowd to pick out his records he would be playing, some of which he remarked, only his most hard core fans would recognize. Playing new and older hits including records for his newest release “The Mountain Will Fall” and coupled with one of the most incredible visual show we’ve seen lately, it was truly a meeting of veteran and rookie artists coming together and bridging the gap between the two.
