LA-native and up and coming rapper Tre Capital has released his new EP titled, HERO. The project is executive produced by Josh Simmons with Co-EP and Capital’s long-time collaborator Wondagurl.

“The album is about me destroying the definition attached to the word Hero simply because it does not relate to our times. A lot of negative energy is applied daily because people are more susceptible to hiding behind positions of power simply off status,” says Tre Capital

Jay-Z said, “Dark knight feeling, die and be a Hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” This quote inspired Tre Capital’s album‘Hero’ because he explains it made him aware of the choice that heroic people make in sacrificing everything to help and give to others. The concept for the project is about destroying the traditional definition attached to the word ‘hero’, which is too often associated with ‘superhero’, and proving to people that the choice in being a hero and helping others isn’t always the easiest but the most rewarding.

Tre’s new EP is a nice body of work. Some of our favorite tracks are “WestCoast Savior Pt. 1 & Pt. 2,” “Blue Eyes White Dragon Flow,” “From Within (feat. Anthony Kilhoffer),” “Been Through It,” “Love,” and “Make Way.”
