Los Angeles-based label Brainfeeder has just announced a special 10th anniversary compilation titled Brainfeeder X and released a new remix by label founder Flying Lotus of Brandon Coleman’s “Walk Free”.

The 36 track album celebrates the label’s past, present, and future. In addition to retrospective highlights, it will feature 22 brand new tracks from the label roster and extended family including: Thundercat feat. BADBADNOTGOOD, Flying Lotus feat. BUSDRIVER, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Louis Cole, Ross from Friends, Dorian Concept, and the official release of supergroup WOKE’s (Flying Lotus, Shabazz Palaces, Thundercat) and much more.

For the last ten years, Brainfeeder has reminded the world that the future is only as far away as it needs to be. It’s less a label than an international conspiracy to conquer clichéd sounds, a glowing neon helix re-organizing the DNA of hip-hop and house, jazz and ambient, techno and soul, funk and footwork, and every other strain of beat music that eludes compartmentalization. Brainfeeder has become a sanctified refuge for those who believe that nothing is too weird, genre is largely obsolete, and the wildest style will always reign supreme.

A beautiful 4xLP vinyl box set designed by Charles Munka (creator of the original Brainfeeder logo) will be released on November 16, 2018 alongside 2CD and Digital formats.
