The adult-oriented nighttime programming network, Adult Swim, presented their 3-day Adult Swim Festival in Los Angeles on October 5th through the 7th. We attended the festivities on Saturday, October 6, which took place at the ROW DTLA and featured an eclectic mix of comedians and artists like Hannibal Buress, Jo Firestone, Father, Wavves, High on Fire, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Trippie Redd, and Thundercat just to name a few. Headlining the festival was Atlanta Metal band Mastodon and Los Angeles experimental multi-genre producer, Flying Lotus, who performed his set entirely in 3D! Attendees were also able to experience a Rick and Morty mini gold station, a Smack up my Uvula installation, and a hot dog ride. The Smack Uvula installation required participants to climb across a wooden ladder-type bridge and smack the uvula, praying that you didn’t fall down too early. All in all, the Adult Swim Festival was one of a kind and a great experience. We look forward to the next one!
