LA psych-rock band Inner Wave has released their ‘Underwater +’ project. It’s a collection of songs they have been working on from 2013-2017 and a sonic transition between their breakout ‘Underwater Pipe Dreams‘ LP and a new album set for 2019.
The band is made up of five young Latinx from Inglewood, CA, two of which have been playing together since the age of 13 years old. Highly influenced by their own culture and hometown, their music blends synth-wave, Latin beats, hip-hop, and R&B to create a sound totally unique to them. They are breaking out in the indie rock world which has traditionally grossly lacked Latinx representation and leading the new wave of rising Chicano artists in music right now.
