California-native producer Freddie Joachim announces his full-length LP Beyond The Sea of Trees, to be released via Jakarta Records in May 2019. The first cut from the forthcoming album is “Backyards” featuring singer Natalie Oliveri.
Growing up as an avid listener and collector of music, Freddie Joachim began djing in the mid-’90s, which progressed into recording and producing his own music. Freddie gained worldwide notoriety through his work with Brooklyn rapper Joey Bada$$ with their single “Waves.” Renowned rapper J.Cole later picked up the same instrumental for his ‘False Prophets’ release.
“Backyards” is a testament to the beatmaker’s skillful production and signature technique. Reminiscent of jazz piano and horn standards, the track flows with heavy hitting drums and an unmistakable swagger.
