South East London singer-songwriter, producer, DJ and artist Kiran kai announced the approaching release date of his debut EP XYZ
out May 22nd. The EP will feature production work by FWDSLXSH, Skepta, Jordan Rakei, and Ben Baptie. Today, Kai shares the first track “Evade” featuring Daisy Maybe.
“Evade” captures Kiran’s distinctive sound, a genre-blending exploration of postmodern jazz, nocturnal trip-hop beats and atmospheric guitars. His lyrics – huskily delivered in a rhythmic stream of consciousness – heighten its woozy, after hours vibe while Daisy’s ethereal vocal adds to its unorthodox style.
