Lecrae is an ILL rapper spitting positivity and giving praise to the man upstairs on Church Clothes which is his latest mixtape. You don’t have to be a religious person at all to enjoy this type of up-lifting spiritual hip hop that is just what the rap community needs. At a time like this, fans are getting younger and younger and influenced by EVERYTHING they hear and see. Now Church Clothes is not by all means the cheesy church hip hop normal Christian rap is tagged with Lecrae’s concept is fresh and his music still has that real hip hop edginess to it. It’s so refreshing to hear a hip hop artist with a positive message and you can rattle your trunk and glorify the lord at the same time. My favorite track on Church Clothes is “Sacrifice” produced by Red on the beat. Lecrae went in- Period, and this is the type of mixtape that can change some one’s life for the better. Another track to definitely check out would be “Darkest Hour” featuring No Malice, Produced by Tha Inna Circle, and “Long time Coming” featuring Swoop and produced by 9th Wonder.
